Scope and Content This view shows the approach of the A862 and the railway from Beauly in the south to Muir of Ord. Windhill and Tomich House (Canmore ID 111367) are in the trees in the foreground. In the fields surrounding Windhill there are 2 standing stones (Canmore ID 12704 and 12668), several cropmarks and a cist have also been identified. The industrial estate at Muir of Ord can be clearly seen also the golf course (Canmore ID 107826 ) beyond that on the left and the showground (Canmore ID 12695) on the right. The medieval church of Gilchrist (Canmore ID 12672) can just be seen right in the trees of the right of the showground and Ben Wyvis is in the distance in the top left-hand corner.
