Scope and Content This view shows the southern part of Muir of Ord with its Industrial estate. In former days Muir of Ord was an important sheep market in which the railway, seen in the view, had a significant part to play. The golf course (Canmore ID 107826) is clearly seen, a henge also interpreted as a barrow (Canmore ID 12670, also 339575) is used as a green left of bottom centre. Today the annual Black Isle Show is held on the showground (Canmore ID 12695) in the left half of the view. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
