Scope and Content This is a view of Easter Rarichie (in the foreground) and Wester Rarichie on the Tarbat Peninsula. An excavation in 2013 on these sites confirmed an Iron Age date for both. The excavation on Easter Rarichie uncovered a stone-built roundhouse and hearth. On Wester Rarichie the excavation uncovered a turf-walled roundhouse with a series of ditches and banks.
