Scope and Content This view shows Fortrose Academy, first buildings date to 1891.Behind is the village of Fortrose, a Medieval Burgh, the ruined 13C cathedral and Bishops Palace. The buildings with Canmore and HER references are too numerous to note. Of the original buildings only the under croft of the Chapter House remains. The other later remains are the S Aisle of the nave and Bell tower. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
