Scope and Content The town of Dingwall at the river estuary into the Cromarty Firth and the Cromarty Bridge in the distance. Dingwall is a historic town from early prehistory to a county town of the 20th century. The name reflects Norse links to an assembly site. The town is a transport node (road, railway, including a short canal) and was a market and industrial town as well as an administrative centre. Ross County stadium, Victoria Park is middle right.
