Aerial view of Kildrummie Cairns near Nairn, looking E.

DP 341070

Description Aerial view of Kildrummie Cairns near Nairn, looking E.

Date 6/2/2008

Collection Papers of James Sloan Bone, landscape historian, Inverness, Highland, Scotland

Catalogue Number DP 341070

Category On-line Digital Images

Scope and Content This is intended to be a view of the cairns near Little Kildrummie Farm, Nairn. However, the cairns are recorded as being three turf-covered mounds, and they are difficult to see in this photo. Little Kildrummie farm is middle right and the cairns should be in the field at bottom right, where there are some shadowy shapes. There are other archaeological features in the fields below Little Kildrummie steading. Nairn is in the distance. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
