Scope and Content This image shows Dingwall Burgh at the head (W end) of the Cromarty Firth, with Cononbrige,, the mouth of the River Conon and surrounding farmland behind. The line of the old Dingwall Canal runs along the line of trees at the centre of the image, joining the firth at the now silted harbour, at the point of land mid-L.
