Scope and Content This 1962 image shows, just above centre below the tree belt, an archaeological excavation of one of three circular cropmarks in Straighthanger field, part of the University of Reading farm at Sonning, Berkshire. The cropmarks were first identified by aerial photography in 1959. The excavation was written up at: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/library/browse/details.xhtml?recordId=3192142.
