Scope and Content This general view of the Black Isle looks over Cotterton, where a fragment of a Pictish symbol was found built into a modern house wall. The view continues towards forested Ord Hill, with its fort obscured by modern conifer plantations. The Beauly Firth and Inverness can be seen behind.
