Scope and Content This long distance hazy image shows the narrows in the Cromarty Firth, with Invergordon on the R (N) bank and Newhall Point on the L. Oil rigs in the Firth are either awaiting repair and renovation or are just being parked. A ship is moored against the long Saltburn Pier, built to service the now-defunct aluminium smelter.
