Scope and Content Skibo Castle, formerly the home of the medieval Bishops of Dornoch, is now famous as the home of the American tycoon Sir Andrew Carnegie. It was under his direction that the present castle, formal gardens and glasshouses were constructed. The building is now run as a luxury hotel. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
