Scope and Content Castle Roy (R of centre) is thought to date to the late 12th or early 13th century. Abernethy Church and graveyard, to its L, are therefore likely to date to at least the same period. However, the present building is not thought to be earlier than 18th century in form and was extensively rebuilt in the 19th century.
