Scope and Content Cromdale Parish Curch and graveyard date to the 9th century, built on the site of an earlier foundation. The bridge at Boat of Cromdale replaces an earlier ferry crossing. On the opposite side of the River Spey is the site of an ancient well, Tobar ma Luaig. This is thought to be one of the potential stopping points for holding up invasion forces should they travel up Strathspey in WW2.
