Scope and Content This distant view shows the construction of part of the Inverness Southern Distributor road and associated areas now covered by new housing developments. The Inverness Royal Academy is in the centre, left of the road. Several archaeological surveys undertaken prior to the house and road developments revealed field drains, rig and furrow, prehistoric pits, flints.
