Scope and Content  A wide view of the southern end of the Loch of Yarrows with the broch and surrounding structures on the shore below centre. A burnt mound has been recorded between the broch and the centre of the picture but no signs survive. Just right of centre are the current South Yarrows croft buildings, incorporating earlier structures. In the upper left quadrant there are several bronze or iron age roundhouses and associated settlement structures scattered across the moorland.
