Scope and Content Balvaich broch, former township, and farmstead, with its associated field system, lies to the N of the A897. It, and an almost square enclosure at NC 94454 18861, were not evident on the OS 1st edition survey, although the oval enclosure at NC 94196 18953 below the unroofed farmstead was shown. Note the different patterns of rig cultivation and drainage leading down to the river. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
