Scope and Content A wide view over Balvattan hilltop, an area with scattered bronze or iron age roundhouses and relict field systems. One roundhouse is visible above the road and just below the faint footpath that crosses the lower part of the image, a little left of centre. Much later farmsteads of a former small settlement lie right of the field upper left and to the right of that area closer to Upper Tullochgrue farm at the top of the image.
