Scope and Content Redcastle, in the centre of the photo in the trees, was originally a C16 Tower House, with later additions. It occupies the site of a much older structure, the C12 fortress of Ederdour. Redcastle is now a roofless burnt shell in a fragile condition. There are references to the cottages at Milton in the foreground. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
