Scope and Content In the centre is the sewage treatment plant at Allanfearn on the shore of the Moray Firth, just E of Inverness. Excavations in 1993 revealed a possible early Bronze Age occupation site, cremation remains, pits and possible post holes. There was also evidence of later boundary ditches. To the right of the site, investigations were made of the crop marks of square and circular barrows (Iron Age). The A96 is in the foreground.
