Scope and Content Craig Phadrig in the trees to the left is an oval Iron Age fort, situated to the W of Inverness with commanding views of the Beauly Firth and inner Moray Firth. There is a heavily vitrified outer wall. Radio carbon dating puts the start of construction at mid-4th century BC. The fort had several subsequent phases of construction.
