Scope and Content Running across the centre of the photo is the Caledonian canal, designed by Telford and opened in 1822. Tomnahurich swing bridge taking the A82 over the canal is central. To the left on the topside of the canal is the bridge keeper's cottage, shown on the Ist edition OS. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
