Scope and Content Clynekirkton is situated at West Clyne, to the north of the main village of Brora. The house at the centre of this view is Balranald, the Church of Scotland manse, built circa 1775. To its R, slightly shaded, is the roofless old parish church of Clynekirkton, with its graveyard and walled garden. A Pictish symbol stone was found built into the fabric of the old church in 1887, which is now in Dunrobin Museum. To the right of the church, in the curve of the road, is the C17 bell tower.
