Scope and Content A close view of some of many prehistoric sites on Ord Hill. To the right and also in the sunlight above the mast are the two largest chambered cairns on the hill. To the right of the lower cairn is a more enigmatic mound. Right again and in the lower part of the subcircular enclosure is a smaller cairn. Bronze or iron age round houses can be seen top left and there are clearance cairns in various places. The lower left foreground is the reputed site of the 16th century AD Gruids conflict.
