Scope and Content This is a close view of repairs being done on the southern side of the Nairn Viaduct. The viaduct itself curves off picture towards the north. The Nairn Viaduct was built as part of the Inverness and Aviemore Direct Railway by the Highland Railway and opened in 1898. It is the longest masonry viaduct in Scotland.
