Scope and Content This is a view of the Longman Industrial Estate and South Kessock, Inverness. The Kessock Bridge, opened in 1982 carries the A9 across the Kessock Narrows, replacing the historic ferry which operated between North and South Kessock since the C15 at least. The piers can be seen on the lower left of picture. Three of the bridges across the River Ness can be seen at centre right and the Muirtown Basin of the Caledonian Canal is at bottom of picture. South Kessock lies between the River Ness and the canal. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
