Scope and Content Culloden House was the home of the Forbes family and built in 1776 on the site of an earlier building, remains of which can be seen in the cellar of the present house. It became a hotel in 1976. The walled garden and home farm are on the left of picture. The home farm has been converted to housing. Culloden Academy, opened in 1982, is at top right. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
