Date 1999

Collection Papers of James Sloan Bone, landscape historian, Inverness, Highland, Scotland

Catalogue Number SC 1903104

Category On-line Digital Images

Scope and Content Loch Flemington lies NE of Croy. The small community of Lochside can be seen here strung out along the road from the left. Most of the houses are modern but there are records of a "Flemish Camp" and this may be a reference to a possible, now unidentifiable, henge at the NE (left) end of the loch. There is a crannog in the loch and a crop mark of a ring ditch at the SW (right) end. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
