Scope and Content In the foreground are the remains of the military camp, batteries and associated buildings from WW1 & WWII, built to protect the Cromarty Firth. The features are now scheduled by Historic Environment Scotland. Below on the edge of the cliff a WW1 searchlight battery engine house is still visible. Below Castle Craig Farm Cottages, in the centre of the photo, is the site of a large water tank which supplied the camp for the North Sutor battery.
