Scope and Content A general view of the W bank of the upper reaches of Berriedale with the Dun Burn, in its gorge, at the top. There is an extensive settlement of bronze or iron age roundhouses, clearance cairns and field systems, together with some earlier features, clearly visible in the heather, centre right. To the left is An Dun broch within an enclosure. Close to the broch, among the hut circles and also on the lower slopes and in the valley bottom there are the footings, enclosures, rigs and furrows of much later settlements only some of which seem to have been recorded. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
