Scope and Content A general view of the southern end of the Loch with the Iron Age Broch and surrounding settlement on the Loch edge, centre right. When excavated early medieval burials were also discovered. In the field to the left of the broch a burnt mound was excavated in the 19th century but the exact site appears lost. In the upper left is South Yarrows Farmhouse and associated outbuildings and in the unimproved ground lower far left are two hut circles.
