Scope and Content A wide view of the lower reaches of the burn with the wedge shape of the first of three long cairns just visible below the centre line far left in an area of grass and bracken. Directly right across both the Caen Burn and the hilltop the second is clearly visible. A third lies half way between them, but a little lower down, and is partially hidden by heather. In the lower left just below where the wing strut meets the edge of the photograph is a roundhouse and the various longhouse foundations and other features across the whole area are the remains of the deserted settlement of Lower Caen. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
