Scope and Content A wide view of the lower reaches of the Caen burn with the first of three long cairns in the lower left to the left of a fence line which has a longhouse on the right hand side. Across the Caen Burn to the right on a high point within the heather covered terrace, a second is partially hidden by heather. Above it towards the top right is a third to the right of the flank. In the lower foreground to the left of centre a roundhouse and the various longhouse foundations and other features across the whole area are the remains of the deserted settlement of Lower Caen.
