Scope and Content In this slightly blurred image Balnagown Castle is in the foreground. The castle began as a late Medieval L-plan tower, now probably incorporated into the existing Mansion which is largely 19c. There are several references to gardens, a deer park and a hedged walk. The village of Kildary is to the right where there is Tarbat East lodge. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
