Scope and Content The Old Edinburgh Road, originally Wade's Military road built in the 1720s, runs through the centre of the photo with Hilton Primary School (white building) on its right. In the foreground right, next to a green triangular area, is Culduthel House, originally the Highland orphanage opened in 1884, now a retirement Home. Other features are too distant to detail.
