Scope and Content A wide view with Cromarty in the foreground. The former Cromarty Hemp Works occupied the three ranges around a green in the lower centre left. Further left is the 18th century harbour and opposite, far right, the burial ground with the ruins of an 18th century Gaelic chapel. To its left the tall, thin pillar is the Hugh Miller monument. In the upper left is the north sutor headland, site of an extensive WW1 and WW2 coastal battery and associated structures.
