Scope and Content This is a general view of Culloden on the eastern side of Inverness. Culloden House on L, and its walled garden at the bottom. The stables are at the top amongst the trees. Culloden House, the home of the Forbes family, was built in 1776 on the site of an earlier building, remains of which can be seen in the cellar of the present house. It became a hotel in 1976. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
