Scope and Content Temporary camp at Edenwood, Fife This Roman temporary camp is at Edenwood. It is on the right bank of the River Eden, 3km from Cupar. Short sections of the rampart on the NE and NW sides survives. The camp has an annexe on the NW side. This is an aerial view of the site. Much of the camp can be seen as cropmarks. This is the SW side of the camp as it heads towards the S angle. Two entrances can be seen. The site was discovered through aerial photography in 1978. It has since been partially excavated. It is thought to be a marching camp from the Severan Campaigns. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
