Scope and Content Temporary camp at Edenwood, Fife This Roman temporary camp is at Edenwood. It is on the right bank of the River Eden, 3km from Cupar. Short sections of the rampart on the NE and NW sides survives. The camp has an annexe on the NW side. This is an aerial view of the site. At the top of the image, the NW side of the camp and its annexe can be seen as cropmarks. In the lower part of the image is a section of the SW side, with an entrance protected by a titulum. The site was discovered through aerial photography in 1978. It has since been partially excavated. It is thought to be a marching camp from the Severan Campaigns.
