Scope and Content Drumturn Burn, hut-circles and field-system, Perth and Kinross Around the headwaters of the Drumturn Burn and its tributaries there are extensive remains of prehistoric settlement. This example, on the south-west flank of Beddiegrew, is one of the largest groups of hut-circles and field-systems known in the area. This aerial view shows a number of prehistoric hut-circles surrounded by irregularly shaped fields enclosed by stony banks. The occupants of these hut-circles were farmers who cultivated the surrounding land. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
