Scope and Content Number 21 to 45 Queensgate, Inverness 20th-century Inverness is the result of continuous expansion begun in the early 19th century. Popular with retired people since its connection to the rail network in 1855, its main industries are now brewing and distilling, and tourism. Number 21 to 45 Queensgate were built in 1901-2 by W L Carruthers. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
