Scope and Content Roseberie, High Street, Earlsferry, Fife Earlsferry was the terminal for ferries across the Forth - mainly to North Berwick and Dirleton - during the Middle Ages. Accepted as a royal burgh in 1541, it was in decline by the 18th century, but revived as a seaside resort in the late 19th century. This shows Roseberie. Like many of the buildings on the High Street, it probably dates from the 19th century. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
