Scope and Content St Mungo's Chapel, Low Causeway, Culross, Fife St Mungo's Chapel was built around 1500 by Robert Blackadder, Archbishop of Glasgow. It was uncovered by an archaeological excavation in 1926 This is the view from across Low Causeway. The south wall (near) is modern. The remains of a stone rood-screen project from the north wall. This would have partitioned the chancel, with the altar, from the nave. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
