Scope and Content Written on the back of the mounted print: ‘Shire: Fife. Place: Falkland. Building: House of Falkland – Lodge. D H S’. Photographer: ‘CHC’ Date: ‘July 1960’ East lodge, Falkland House, Fife Falkland House was built as Nuthill House in 1839-44 by William Burn for Onesiphorus Tyndall-Bruce whose wife inherited the Falkland estate. The interior was remodelled by R W Schultz for the Marquis of Bute who had purchased the property in 1887. The east lodge was built in mid Victorian times. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
