Scope and Content Written on the back of the mounted print: ‘Shire: Fife. Place: Dysart. Building: Bay Horse Inn – The Shore’. Photographer: ‘J.P.’ Date: ‘Nov 1964’ Skewput on south-east angle, Bay House, 1 Panha', Dysart, Fife Bay House was built in 1583 for Patrick Sinclair during the time when there was still a pier on Panha'. It was restored in 1969 by The National Trust for Scotland. This is one of the three human-head skewputs decorating the angles where the gable meets the wall head. They may represent King James VI, his queen, Anne of Denmark, and their son, King Charles I. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
