Scope and Content Written on the back of the mounted print: ‘Shire: Fife. Place: Dysart. Building: The Anchorage – The Shore’. Photographer: ‘J.P.’ Date: ‘Oct 1964’ Pre-reconstruction view of The Anchorage, 1,2 Shore Road, Dysart, Fife The Anchorage was probably completed in 1582, the date inscribed on one of the window pediments. It was extensively reconstructed in 1965. This shows the building in 1964 prior to restoration. The upper floors project slightly on stone corbels. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
