Date: 'July 1965' Gravestone to John Brown, tenant in Castle Law, who died 1741, his wife Anna Mathie d.1729, and three of their children; their son Patrick Brown, tenant in Castle Law, who died 1776, his wife Margaret Brown d. 1809 and three of their young children and their oldest son John Brown, tenant in Castle Law, who died 1797. Also Thomas Brown d.1789, son of John Brown, his wife and one of the infant daughters. Also Archibald D Brown, his son and wife Janet Innis, and their son Archibald Brown d.1802 and his wife Helen White d.1786, and their son James Brown d.1797.
