Scope and Content Temporary camp at Edenwood, Fife This Roman temporary camp is at Edenwood. It is on the right bank of the River Eden, 3km from Cupar. Short sections of the rampart on the NE and NW sides survives. The camp has an annexe on the NW side. This is a plan of the site. Most of the SE side, the central part of the SW side, most of the NW side and part of the NE side have all been recorded. Several entrances are also know. The annexe can be seen to the NW. The site was discovered through aerial photography in 1978. It has since been partially excavated. It is thought to be a marching camp from the Severan Campaigns.
