All Other PC 119 POSTCARD ALBUM No 119: Olive green board-covered album containing 38 pages each slotted to take two cards on each side. The postcards were sent to Miss Chrissie Bruce, who lived at one time at 16 Hill Street, Larkhall, and to members of her family. Many of them show scenes in Ayrshire especially Dunure and West of Scotland resorts, Glasgow, Dunfermline and other Scottish towns. Some relate to Robert Burns. There are also joke cards and many pictorial cards showing actors and beauties of the day. These include Oditte Valery, Lena Ashwell,Marie Studholme, Ellaline Terriss and Billie Burke. One group photograph shows Lea Arden's Geisha Entertainers, Dunoon, 1904, and another is of members of the Minto Masonic Lodge, No 385, Lochgelly. One card shows buildings at the University of Missouri and two are from the World's Fair, St. Louis, one is of Bridge Street, Sydney, while another shows Gando el Lazarote, Gran Canaria. c. 1900 Batch Level
All Other PC 7 POSTCARD ALBUM 7 :Green hard-backed art nouveau album titled on the front Post-Cards with decoration in white, and having coloured art nouveau end papers. Its original book plate has been removed from the inside front cover and the 50 slotted black pages (some of the slots torn) now accommodate post cards of Carlops, Pentlands, Colinton, Balerno, West Linton, Penicuik and Swanston (the titles are listed below). It is a motley collection dating from between 1902 and 1934, all the used cards being from and to different people. Most have recent pencilled valuations on the back. Batch Level
All Other PC 2 POSTCARD ALBUM 2 : Four Falconer Albums Vol.1, James Kirk Fine dark blue hard-backed book titled 'Album' on the jugendstil embossed front cover, containing 63 green pages slotted for postcards . The cloth-covered spine is off. It is almost completely filled with picture postcards sentr between 1902-9, most of them to Master James Kirk, 518 Springburn Gardens, Glasgow. Apparently his sister was Mrs A Falconer, whose family was at one time at Woodbank, Milton Street, Carluke and later at 6 Alexandra Place, St Andrews where the albums came from. All Other PC 4 POSTCARD ALBUM 4 : Four Falconer Albums Vol.3, The Skaters Grey cloth-covered hardback album with blue spine and red, white and blue picture of skaters on the front, titled Post Card Album. It contains 50 pages alotted to take postcards. The pages are filled with cards sent to the Falconer family at Woodbank, Carluke mostly between 1904-21, almost all showing scenes in the west of Scotland. All Other PC 1 POSTCARD ALBUM NO.1: RENFREW AND BUTE Brown simulated-leather hard backed book titled on front in gold 'Postcard Album' and labelled inside back cover 'No.S 437, Holding 300. Johnson, London'. 50 pages slotted to hold three postcards on each side. The few used postcards are addressed to G H Henderson and Mr & Mrs R S Henderson at various Edinburgh addresses, including 28 New Register House in 1930 (page 33); this is the earliest postmark, they continue until 1972. The locations are carefully arranged like itineraries, mostly dating from 1930's, some have duplicates inserted later over previous pictures. c. 1930 Batch Level
