Description POSTCARD ALBUM No 119: Olive green board-covered album containing 38 pages each slotted to take two cards on each side. The postcards were sent to Miss Chrissie Bruce, who lived at one time at 16 Hill Street, Larkhall, and to members of her family. Many of them show scenes in Ayrshire especially Dunure and West of Scotland resorts, Glasgow, Dunfermline and other Scottish towns. Some relate to Robert Burns. There are also joke cards and many pictorial cards showing actors and beauties of the day. These include Oditte Valery, Lena Ashwell,Marie Studholme, Ellaline Terriss and Billie Burke. One group photograph shows Lea Arden's Geisha Entertainers, Dunoon, 1904, and another is of members of the Minto Masonic Lodge, No 385, Lochgelly. One card shows buildings at the University of Missouri and two are from the World's Fair, St. Louis, one is of Bridge Street, Sydney, while another shows Gando el Lazarote, Gran Canaria.
