Scope and Content Notes written on the drawing - "For his picture of Sir Isumbras at the Ford he went every day to the Bridge of Earn!" - Extract from the Life of Millais. A watercolour drawing of about the beginning of the 19th century shows the bridge entire with 5 arches. Measured and drawn by the late Fred L. MacGibbon and myself, June 1910. J. Ross, 14 Saxe Coburg Place, Edinburgh.
